I received my Knitted Knocker in time to wear it to church on Mother’s Day. I love it!!! the yarn is cool and soft against my skin. I could not wear the heavy silicone prosthesis and bras following my double mastectomy (the scars from the surgery go almost completely around my chest and back and they feel ‘icky creepy and hurt because of the staples and clips under the skin in those areas). I found that wearing compression camisoles helps tremendously with the residual pain (even after 10long years) and they are able to hold the knitted knockers in place fairly well. my sister is making me more for Christmas (she LOVES to knit and crochet) in a variety of colors to match the camisoles i wear. I feel more self confident going out to shop and visit friends now. not as self conscious as i was before. (the mastectomy left me with quite a hollow chest quite the opposite of what i once had going from a DD to less than nothing) the scars are quite ragged and uneven and painful so i did not want to go outside much.. I am so looking forward to becoming more outgoing again = getting out and enjoying life. Thank you for this gift!!! I wanted to share my knitting experience. I was almost finished with my first knocker when I realized I had dropped a stitch as I tried to measure my project. I was unable to fix my mistake and knew I needed to find a better way for me to knit these. I knit socks on two circular needles so I started a knocker on double points and after a few rows put the stitches on size 16 inch circulars and I’m knitting up a storm. I will be able to measure more easily, take them when I travel without fear of dropping a stitch, and get more done more quickly. Hope this might help other knitters. I am a 15-year cancer survivor. Thanks to God and my doctors. I tried wearing a prosthesis but they were just too uncomfortable, so I did without anything. I just heard about these wonderful ladies and their knitted knockers and it brought tears to my eyes. God Bless you ladies. The work you are doing is sooo…much appreciated.

I only requested one knitted knocker because I didn’t think that anything would help. I figured the donation might help someone else. But much to my delight and surprise it is comfortable, light weight, and doesn’t feel like a 10 pound weight on my chest like the prosthesis does. Thank you thank you thank you. I work on the medical crew for the Avon Breast Cancer walk here in California and you can be sure I will spread the word to other survivors. Thank you again this is such a relief.

Thank you so much for my knitted knockers and for the love and care that came with them. I having been wearing them for the past week and I love them, they are so comfortable and I have even been wearing them after work, where as with my prosthesis they would be the first thing to come off when I get home. The weather has also got quite hot over the last couple of days and I have noticed with joy that my chest wall and bra is dry which would not be the case with my prosthesis. Thank you for making me feel so happy and comfortable again and please continue to make others happy with your wonderful knockers. Thank you xxx
Thank you so much for the knitted knocker made by Pamela, along with the little heart she included. It is very comfortable and a lot cooler to wear in the hot weather and on days when I am not feeling very good, I am currently on chemo for stage 4 BC. You are providing a fantastic service and it is very much appreciated.
